Privacy Policy

Draft for review. This is a starting-point policy for CLEAR and has not been reviewed by a lawyer. Please have qualified legal counsel review and adapt it — especially the data-protection sections — before relying on it.

1. Who we are

CLEAR ("CLEAR," "we," "us," or "our") provides a mobile and web application that helps small businesses keep a simple ledger of employee salaries, salary advances, bonuses, deductions, and payment history. CLEAR is not payroll software and does not process statutory payroll, tax, or compliance filings. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the CLEAR app and admin tools, how we use it, and the choices you have.

2. Information we collect

Account information (name, business name, phone number, and optionally email) provided at signup or invite; staff and salary records (names, roles, phone numbers, pay frequency, salary, advances, deductions, bonuses, joining dates, and payment history) entered by an Employer; documents (ID proofs or other files an Employer uploads against a staff profile); basic device and usage information; and any support communications you send us.

3. How we use information

To provide the core CLEAR service — maintaining each business's staff ledger, salary slips, and payment history; to authenticate you via one-time passcodes (OTP); to send service notifications; to respond to support requests; to monitor, secure, and improve the app; and to comply with applicable law.

4. Who can see what

An Employer can see all staff records for their own business. A Staff member can see only their own salary, advance, and payment records — never other staff members' data, and never the business's settings. CLEAR's own team can access account data only as needed to provide support, investigate abuse, or maintain the service, and access is logged. We do not sell personal information.

5. Data storage and security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information you store in CLEAR, including encryption in transit and access controls that limit who can view a business's data to that business's own Employer and Staff accounts. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure.

6. Data retention

We retain your business's ledger and account data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymize your data within a reasonable period, except where required to retain it for legal, tax, or dispute-resolution purposes.

7. Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information by writing to support@gluecode.in. If you are a Staff member and believe your Employer has entered incorrect information about you, please contact your Employer directly first, since they control your business's records.

8. Children's privacy

CLEAR is a business tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date, and where changes are material, we'll let you know in the app.
